Golden-tail moray (Gymnothorax miliaris). It is very unusual to find these during the day. They are rare in Gran Canaria and there is only a small population in Arinaga (2-4?) and they are generally more active at night, hence the Spanish name ´Morena de lunares´ - the moray of the moons. - #divinggrancanaria, #buceo canarias, #morayeel

I dive in one of the best places to go Scuba Diving in Gran Canaria, the marine reserve called 'el Cabrón' near Arinaga. We will tell you here about some of the special things that we have seen, and some of the changes that take place. I also do some web marketing and search engine optimisation for my friends, and will keep you up to date with those here as well.

Latest from the el Cabron Marine Reserve October 15
A week for the family ´Syngnathidae´ - two differnt seahorses (hippocampus hippocampus) and the very difficult to spot pipefish (pejepipa in Spanish) -syngathus typhle. They share the characteristics of a fused jaw, and being experts at concealment and hard to photograph! - #divinggrancanaria, #buceo canarias, #seahorse

Latest from the el Cabron Marine Reserve October 4
What is about 2m long with big eyes, grey body, silent in the water.... no not a pelagic shark but a human-powered miniature submarine. Last week we had the first ever Sub-Racing event in Arinaga, and provided technical and safety support for the event. Lots of fun watchingthe teams get ´Rivershark´ and ´Chelonia´ racing across Arinaga Bay. Dont miss the event next year! - #subracing, #PlayaArinaga, #miniaturesubmarines
